5 habits to take up for a happy and healthy year

Adding some specific habits to your daily routine could be helpful to reach calm, happiness and both a healthy mindset and body.



  1. Move your body

Even if we are lazy in the morning, we should all wake up by moving our bodies. Doing yoga, pilates or some work out exercises is extremely useful to fresh our minds and make the blood flow again, since we have slept for about seven - eight hours. It is not necessary to push ourselves with abs work out or tiring legs exercises, you can do just relaxing yoga positions, which are not that difficult to be done in the morning.



2. Meditate


Meditating and clearing our thoughts are two underrated activities. What people don't know is that by having a clear mind facing the day is less challenging and tiring. Moreover, thanking for what you have and not thinking about what you are missing help you going through exhausting times with smile.



3. Take care of yourself


It is generally known that self-care is a form of self-respect, nevertheless it is not taken in consideration as it should be. Eating healthy, doing skincare routine and being surrounded by positive vibes are the foundations of self-care. Following a diet doesn't necessarily mean cut off some delicious dishes which may not be healthy, but it means balancing beneficial food with little sweets for our spirit. In addition, we should all try to surround ourselves with people who support and love us, but if it isn't enough you can also bring with you a lucky charm or a peaceful stone.



4. Set some boundaries


Although we all want to do everything we like and do our best every single time, sometimes our brains and bodies beg us to stop and take a break. Therefore, health is the most important aspect of our life, if we are healthy we can do whatever we want, but if we are not we must stop and take some time to recharge.



5. Write a journal


Not all of us are great writers, but we all know how to take notes or jot down our thoughts and ideas. So, every night or every morning it is useful to write down our intentions for the next day and our reflections about what we have just been through. Moreover, carrying a colorful journal with us can be a good move not to force our memory and write down future planned events.
